School Based Counseling

We are extremely excited to contract with the Wake County school based program again for the 2011 - 2012 school year. In addition to providing mental health counseling services in the Wake County schools, we also provide both office based and community based behavioral health/mental health counseling services. Last year, Triangle Counseling Agency was the largest school based provider in Wake County and we will continue to provide the best counseling services possible.

Primary therapeutic interventions include Insight Oriented; CBT; Solution Focused Strategies; Play Therapy; Behavioral Modification; and Person Centered.

Areas of specialty include working with individuals diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, Adjustment Disorders, Depressive Disorders and PTSD.
Emily Diaz, LPC
Master of Science in Community Counseling

Emily specializes in Animal-Assisted Therapy where she matches goals in the treatment plan with interventions using animals to guide the therapeutic process. Animals are non-judgmental creatures who can teach empathy, impulse control and compassion among other things. Animal-Assisted Therapy is research based and is used in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals and other clinical settings.

Emily has experience as a school counselor, licensed professional counselor and substance abuse counselor.

Angela has worked as a Medical Social Worker in Suicide Prevention and as a school social worker and also has experience working with adults, children and adolescents with ADHD, Developmental Delays and Anger Management Issues.

Lynn began her career with Wake County Mental Health on an intensive team for at risk youth with mental health issues. Throughout her career, she has worked with a wide variety of clients ranging from children to adults. She has experience with developmental, mental health and substance abuse issues. She enjoys working with adolescents struggling to make the transition to adulthood. She has a strong background in family therapy. Her focus is to build on individual’s strengths and maximizing their potential.

Dr. Angeline Woodson is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in children, adults, couples and family therapy, and maintains a private practice in Raleigh, North Carolina. Dr. Woodson has over 20 years experience as a mental health therapist specializing in diversity and multicultural counseling.

Dr. Woodson received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from North Carolina State University in Recreation Resources. She continued her education at East Carolina University where she received a Master’s of Science degree in Child Development and Family Relations. Dr. Woodson earned a doctorate degree in Human Services with a concentration in Professional Counseling from Capella University.
